Brian Sage
Sage is now living his dream and aspiring to emerge among the ranks of America's leading impressionist. Whether painting "en plein air" or in his studio, Sage's paintings are captured in a subtle play of light and shadow and bold accents of color. His dedication and passion resounds throughout the variety of subjects upon which he is focused. Under the guidance and encouragement of well know artist John Terelak, Sage devoted himself to his work, advancing his techniques while letting his style unfold. He continued to challenge himself, translating the emotion behind what he painted. "My thoughts are mixed in with the excitement, hope, and solitude of the subject matter." |

Résumé
Biography
Brian Nelson Sage was born in Connecticut in 1974. He spent much of his childhood boating and fishing along the Connecticut River. From an early age he was absorbed by art projects at school and spent much of his free time drawing. He went on to attend Rollins College where he earned his fine arts degree.Unsure of his future as an artist, Sage moved to Boston where he worked a variety of jobs, but became increasingly committed to his painting. There he continued to be a student of art experimenting with different mediums and studying the masters. It was not until he met American Impressionist John Terelak in Rockport, Massachusetts that he began to realize his potential as an artist.
