Tom Swimm

A self-taught artist who has been painting since childhood, Tom Swimm's oil paintings are nationally recognized and internationally collected. Upon first view, his paintings appear photographic, yet after a closer look, they reveal properties that are distinctly impressionistic and painterly. The merging of these disciplines in harmony with color and light is the focus of his technique and artistic evolution.

He has numerous exhibitions and awards to his credit, has been profiled on the cover of many local and national magazines, and was featured at the prestigious APPAF exhibit in Paris, France. He has released five instructional books on painting through Walter FosterPublishing.

In additon to painting, he is also an accomplished playwright and actor. He has had numerous original plays produced at theaters and has acted on the stage and in independent films.
