David Bottini
|
Bottini uses the painting signature "Gabriel" as a dedication to the enduring affects of his Italian grandfather (Gabriel Bottini) on his interest in nature and appreciation of the world around him. His landscapes are signed Gabriel with David's signature on the back of each work. "It is the sheer exhilaration of making brushstrokes and working through a new painting that gets me going. I love the varied effects of atmosphere and light... everyday just looking and living is stimulus. Every workday in the studio is motivation, an each painting is fuel for more creative thinking." Bottini has an uncanny palette which captures subltle light as it shimmers on a river, or shadows a leaf as it's falling to the ground. The reality of his paintings draw the viewer into a clean crisp world of vibrance and light. |
